Devils Spotlight

Current NHL Season

Going into their 40th-anniversary season, New Jersey Devils fans are getting a bit impatient for the team’s return to the Stanley Cup playoffs. Despite a talented roster, the Devils have fallen short the past few years, and plenty of changes were made in order to get back to the promised land. Head coach Lindy Ruff remains, but several assistants were shuffled in and out. On the ice, Ondrej Palat comes over from Tampa Bay along with Erik Haula, John Marino, Brandan Smith, and goalender Vitek Vanecek to play alongside MacKenzie Blackwood. The hope is the new players will gel and turn the young crop of players (Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, and Yegor Sharangovich) into winners.

Past Spotlights

Management was sick of missing the playoffs for three straight seasons and made major moves in the offseason to end that drought. New Jersey nabbed the biggest free agent on the market in Dougie Hamilton, who has developed into the league’s best offensive defenseman, recording 121 points in his previous three seasons with Carolina. Hamilton will join Ryan Graves, who came over in a trade with Colorado, as the front line defensive unit. New Jersey also added Tomas Tatar, a consistent 20-goal scorer. 22-year-old Nico Hischier begins his first full season as captain and should get plenty of help offensively from Pavel Zacha and Andreas Johnsson. Newly acquired goaltender from Detroit Jonathan Bernier will push Mackenzie Blackwood for minutes in net. Premium is Platinum at the Prudential Center when it comes to enhancing your hockey experience. The best seats at center ice come with all-inclusive private gourmet dining at the Platinum Lounge. Pound the plexiglass with their Glass Seats options that comes with access to newly renovated clubs. A farm-to-fan experience can be found at The Restaurant. Superb dining can be found on high-top ledge seating, giving fans a look at everything on the ice.

Hopes are high in New Jersey this season! After winning the 2018 Hart Trophy as the NHL’s MVP, Taylor Hall returns after a season littered with injuries, and he’s joined by No. 1 overall draft pick Jack Hughes, giving Devils fans more hope since a guy named Brodeur was setting up camp in goal.

New Jersey also added gritty veteran defenseman P.K. Subban this offseason, along with scorers Nikita Gusev and Wayne Simmonds.

The Devils are also relying on goaltender Cory Schneider returning to form, while, at the same time, preparing for the future with Mackenzie Blackwood.

Come to the Prudential Center in Newark to experience The Lofts for yourself. This is billed as a classic styling of old New Jersey – speakeasy style. You get access to a private bar, an all-inclusive gourmet buffet, and great views of the action behind the goal that the Devils shoot at twice per game.

Suites at The Rock hold between 16 and 24 guests, where you can customize your menu and even be greeted by Devils alumni during the game.

Platinum tickets give you the best seats in the house (behind the benches), along with the Platinum Lounge’s all-access food offerings.
