Rockies Spotlight

Current MLB Season

The Rockies made the playoffs in 2017 and ’18 but haven’t been able to do in a tough NL West the last three years. The team hopes improvements made to the club on both sides of the ball will help this year. Trevor Story departed, but the team signed Kris Bryant to a free-agency deal, and they also acquired C.J. Cron and Randal Grichuk. Connor Joe and Ryan McMahon are expected to improve, and veteran Charlie Blackmon remains a stalwart in the outfield. In a good sign, Brendan Rogers hit more home runs away from Coors than at home. German Marquez and Kyle Freeland anchor the rotation, and Antonio Senzatela proved himself to be a ground-ball pitcher, which is perfect for a pitcher starting half of his games at Coors Field.

Past Spotlights

Many new faces are set to take the field for the 2021 Colorado Rockies. During the offseason, the Rockies traded Nolan Arenado for several prospects from the St. Louis Cardinals. While trading Arenado is a tough pill to swallow for Rockies fans, this move helps rebuild the Rockies farm system. The Rockies will give a lot of their young up-and-coming players an everyday shot this year such as Raimel Tapia, Brendan Rodgers, Ryan McMahon and Josh Fuentes. Veterans like Trevor Story, Charlie Blackman and Ian Desmond will be the leaders of the clubhouse.

On the mound, the Rockies ace, German Marquez, has seemed to figure how to keep the ball down in Coors Field. The altitude is not a friend of any Rockies pitcher, but Marquez will be the team’s most reliable starter. Behind Marquez, the rotation will feature Kyle Freeland, Antonio Senzatela and Jon Gray.

Experience Coors Field in first-class fashion in one of the Rockies private luxury boxes.  A Rockies suite can accommodate 12 – 30 people on average. With a suite at Coors Field, guests receive VIP parking, private entry into the ballpark and premium in-suite catering options. Rockies suites are going to range in price based on the opponent and the location of the suite in Coors Field. On average, a suite for a Rockies game could go for $4,000 - $6,500. If you have a larger group, try a Super Suite or Summit Party Suite for your next premium outing to the ballpark. All suites have outdoor seating along with climate-controlled options for those chilly Denver days and nights.

The Warning Track Party Room features a unique view of the game from inside the right field wall, and you get the same food and beverage options that the suites offer. There’s stadium seating inside, along with high-top tables and chairs, HDTVs, and private restrooms.

After considerable success in 2017 and ’18, the Colorado Rockies had a bit of a setback in 2019, so they are hoping to put that behind them as 2020 gets underway. After testing the trade waters, Nolan Arenado returns for another season at third base. Sluggers Trevor Story, Charlie Blackmon, and David Dahl all return, and Daniel Murphy was acquired via free agency to play first base, and he should hit plenty of home runs at hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Pitching has always been a question mark for the Rockies, but German Marquez, Jon Gray, and Kyle Freeland are solid options at the top of the rotation, and closer Wade Davis should be healthy and perform to expectations in 2020.

In addition to traditional luxury suites at Coors Field, try a Super Suite or Summit Party Suite for your next premium outing to the ballpark. All suites have outdoor seating along with climate-controlled options for those chilly Denver days and nights. You also get a catered food and soft drink package, with alcoholic beverages available a la carte. They also hold anywhere from 12 to 500 guests, so you’re covered no matter the size of your group.
