Rays Spotlight

Current MLB Season

After finishing no better than fourth place in their first 10 years of existence, they have made the playoffs in eight of their next 15, including a franchise-record four in a row. They dropped from 100 wins in 2021 to 86 last year but still made the postseason. For a team that typically has high turnover, the Rays are running it back on offense with Wander Franco, Randy Arozarena, Brandon Lowe, and Yandy Diaz among those back. Tyler Glasnow, who pitched at the very end of last season after missing most of the 2022 campaign due to Tommy John surgery, is on track to pitch at the end of April after dealing with an oblique issue during spring training. Shane McClanahan, who started last year’s All-Star Game, will look to pickup the slack along with new acquisition Zach Eflin, who is from nearby Clearwater. The bullpen is also strong with Pete Fairbanks, Colin Poche, Ryan Thompson, and... MORE

Past Spotlights

The Rays followed up a trip to the 2020 World Series with their first 100-win season last year, but a disappointing October followed in a Division Series loss to the rival Red Sox. Corey Kluber and Drew Rasmussen join the pitching staff anchored by Shane McClanahan, but the real star here is the offense and potential MVP candidate Wander Franco, who was locked up with a long-term deal by the club in the offseason. He joins solid hitters Brandon Lowe, Randy Arozarena, Yandy Diaz, and Mike Zunino in a strong lineup that is looking for its third-straight AL East title.

Ownership does a nice job adding more and more premium options at Tropicana Field every year. The Left Field Ledge, an area that included ledge tables, seated drink rails, and a full-service bar, and The Chalk Box—featuring comfy, oversized seats with armrests, cupholders, in-seat food and beverage service, and great views along the first-base line—are areas you likely haven’t seen before. The DEX Imaging Home Plate Club gives you seats right behind home plate and comes with an all-inclusive buffet in the Rays Club. Traditional suites run up and down the first- and third-base lines and come with all-inclusive catering, VIP parking passes, and private restrooms.

The 2021 Tampa Bay Rays look to defend their title as American League Champions. The Rays feature some of the best young talent in baseball, including 2020 breakout star Randy Arozarena. The lineup includes Austin Meadows, Kevin Kiermaier, Willy Adames, Manuel Margot, Ji-Man Choi and Brandon Lowe. The big question from Rays fans will be, is this the year the Rays call-up MLB’s top prospect Wander Franco.

On the mound, the Rays will look for some breakout performances from key starters Tyler Glasnow, Ryan Yarbrough, Michael Wacha and Chris Archer. The Rays traded Blake Snell to the Padres in the offseason, allowing them to stockpile their farm system with more promising prospects. In addition to added Archer, the Rays also signed veteran Rich Hill to the rotation.

The Rays look forward to pack Tropicana Field with fans in 2021. Fans can experience Rays baseball from a variety of luxury suite options. Tropicana Field features suites from foul pole to foul pole, including the Legends of Tampa Bay Suite, Infield Suites, and Executive Suites. Rays’ luxury boxes are going to accommodate groups as small as 12 and as big as 34 people. Some of Tropicana Field’s top suite amenities include a private balcony, HDTV, premium in-suite catering options and exclusive access to VIP clubs like the Rays Club and DEX Imaging Home Plate Club.

For premium seating at a Tampa Bay Rays game, be sure to check out the Fieldside Box, Chalk Box and the DEX Imaging Home Plate Club. All three options provide some of the best views to see the Rays take the field with first-class dining and VIP lounges to entertain in.
