Bengals Spotlight

Current NFL Season

What do the Bengals have lined up for an encore? After Joe Burrow came back from ACL surgery to be one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the game, Cincinnati upset top-seeded Tennessee and two-time defending AFC champ Kansas City in the playoffs before letting a lead in the Super Bowl slip away in the final minutes, losing to the Rams in heartbreaking fashion. But an offense led by Burrow, Rookie of the Year Ja’Marr Chase, Joe Mixon, Tyler Boyd, Hayden Hurst, and others who led the team to its first Super Bowl in 34 years—oh, and kicker Evan McPherson, who was perfect in the playoffs, including three clutch kicks in the wins over the Titans and Chiefs. The team bolstered its offensive line in the offseason, which was its primary weakness last year.

Past Spotlights

Even though he got hurt midway through last season, it looks like Joe Burrow may be the real deal for Cincinnati at quarterback. That’s good news for fans looking for something to get excited about as fans return to Paul Brown Stadium. Joe Mixon is also turning into a solid option at wide receiver, and Ja’Marr Chase—one of Burrow’s favorite receiving targets at LSU—was drafted this past offseason to replace the departing A.J. Green. Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are all expected to turn into solid weapons for Burrow as well as the Bengals look to compete in the competitive AFC North. A new era begins in Cincinnati. The Bengals selected quarterback, Joe Burrow, first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft to be the face of the franchise. Burrow was hands down the best choice for the Bengals and will bring a new style of leadership to the team. Burrow will start out of the gate and will have plenty of playmakers to throw the ball to. A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd will certainly help Burrow get in stride. The Bengals used their second-round draft pick on receiver, Tee Higgins, to add more talent to the receiving core. With Joe Mixon in the backfield, the Bengals are a well-balanced offensive unit.

In free agency, the Bengals invested heavily on the defense. Upgrades were made across the board with the signings of D.J. Reader, Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander and Vonn Bell. The Bengals should improve upon their 2-14 record a year ago but more importantly, Bengals fans are seeing the groundwork being laid out to help this franchise win for years to come.

Paul Brown Stadium will be more electric than ever before with Burrow under center. Experience Bengals football from a private suite.
